It was March in the year 2000 when my Dad and I launched our first eCommerce website. A few hours later, an email alerted me to our very first online order. Actually, I received 19 emails as a teeny, tiny little glitch in our first website had duplicated our first order 19 times. 19 times - but that’s another story.
Where was I? Oh yeah, our first online order. That first order just showed up - in my inbox - from a customer many states away - a customer that had never heard of us before - that somehow stumbled across our hours-old website. It was like magic.
As I reflect back, there are so many things I am grateful for: the opportunity to start a company with my Dad, our humble beginnings, the struggles along the way, all the incredible team members that have dedicated their time and talents here, the successes, the failures, the $2,148,355 that we (with our customers) have donated to charity, the incredible and unforgettable testimonials that have been shared with us, and the the over 5 million lives that our little company has impacted.
That last part (the “lives impacted” part) That’s YOU. And, without you, none of the rest is possible. You’re what fuels the magic.
