The medics were able to alert my wife and parents

I was going out for an easy 90 minute bike ride on a Friday afternoon.  I was only 3 miles from my house when an oncoming car made an unexpected left turn (without signaling), and drove right into me.  I was thrown from my bike, and my face and shoulder punctured the car's windshield.  Thankfully, the EMTs were on the scene within minutes.  Because I was wearing my Road ID, the medics were able to alert my wife and parents as to what happened.  They were also able to warn the ER doctors about a medical allergy that was listed on my ID.

I am so grateful that my Road ID was with me then, and it's with me now.  I hope I never need it again, but I know that I'm in good hands if I ever do.
