I recently passed out while participating in the Tinsel Triathlon in Hemet, CA. I eventually came to, and while I could speak, it was just so much easier to point to my Road ID which had all my info. My good friend, who was with me at the time, didn't have to try to recall phone numbers, allergies, etc. I ended up showing it to four different medics! While it wasn't a life or death situation, I'm so thankful that my Road ID provided all the information they needed.After a brief trip to the ER, I am back to normal and looking forward to wearing my Road ID on my next ride. I'll also be taking a trip to New York, and I plan to wear my Road ID the whole time...just in case something happens when I'm far from home.
