On March 21, 2026, runners will take on either 50km or 51 miles along one of the most spectacular and remote stretches of coastline in America. It begins with twelve miles winding through the quiet, car-free roads and maritime forest trails of Bald Head Island. A calm before the storm. Then the course opens up to what makes this race unforgettable: 19 or 38 miles of raw, exposed running along the wild, untamed beach between Cape Fear and Fort Fisher. To the east, the vast Atlantic and the distant Frying Pan Shoals. To the west, the untouched marshlands of the Cape Fear River.
