My Road ID was old and weathered, but worked

I hate to say it, but I got hit by a car. I was out on my usual run when the accident happened.  My injuries were quite serious. I suffered broken ribs, punctured lungs and a fractured left leg. It was my old and weathered Road ID that gave the paramedics the information they needed to notify my wife. I was rushed to a hospital in Colorado Springs.  My wife contacted my son who lives near us in Colorado and both arrived at the hospital shortly thereafter.

I'm thankful that I decided many years ago to never go out without ID.  Accidents can happen anytime to anyone.   I Coach Cross Country and Track & Field at two local schools...I now recommend Road ID to all of my runners.
