Earlier this year, I was finishing up a 40 mile ride when I hit a frost heave on the bike path. The heave threw me from my bike onto to the asphalt, knocking me unconscious. When I came to, I remember the policeman calling me by my first name because of the Road ID. Next thing I know, I am waking up in anambulance, surrounded by EMTs. One was holding my Road ID and confirming my personal information. My Road ID enabled them to call my wife and verify my health provider. I spent the next 8 days in the hospital. In the end, my Road ID saved the day for me.
