Recently, I was hit by a car while riding my motorcycle to work. It was 3 PM on a beautiful day when an oncoming driver made a left across my path, as if I was not there. The ambulance came - and away I went to the hospital. Due to the nature of my injuries, it was hard for me to speak. I felt like I had all the wind knocked out of me. The medics were asking me questions about allergies, emergency contacts, medical history, etc. So, I just gave them my FIXX Road ID that I was wearing around my neck.
Sadly, I won't be riding again soon. But once I can, I'll definitely be sporting my Road ID gear. In fact, my Tri-club is now encouraging all of us to wear one. Thank you!
