I was airlifted to the trauma unit

I was hit by a car while training for Ironman Copenhagen last Summer. The driver sped through an intersection while I was crossing and hit me. Thankfully the driver stopped and called 911, but my husband (who was riding a little ahead of me) was left to find me, head bloodied and unresponsive.

While being airlifted to the trauma unit, first responders used my Interactive Road ID to gather my vital medical details and prepare the trauma unit for my arrival. There, they were able to immediately begin appropriate treatment all thanks to the information my ID provided.

This was an emotionally devastating experience for both me and my husband; but with the help of Road ID and the dozens of people who cared for me, I have come through the event with great success.
