The wreck happened on a county road nearby so the county police responded, but my wreck could have happened anywhere in the three towns included on my route. First Responders were able to call my husband because I had his contact numbers on my Road iD. If I hadn't been wearing my Road iD, my husband would have gone out looking for me two hours later and there wouldn't have been any sign of my accident. He would have then called the local hospital and police, but the First Responders didn't take me to the hospital in town, they took me to a trauma unit in another town.
I have worn a Road iD for years, but I never thought that I would actually need it, especially only 3 miles into my ride. But I did, and so did my husband.
Thanks again for such a useful product.
