As an EMT, I know the importance of being able to identify someone. I recently responded to a bicycling accident, and it is very disconcerting to have a patient that is unable to tell you anything about themselves. I don't ever want myself or my family to be in that position. I want EVERYONE to know who we are ifwe are ever in the same situation.
I encourage all of my friends and family members to wear ID...it makes the EMT's efforts to help you a lot easier, should you ever become an accident victim or fall ill while out on the roads and trails.
