I went for a ride on trails near my house as I so often do. I’m not exactly sure what happened, but I definitely had an accident and hit my head. Fortunately, I was wearing my Road ID (and a helmet of course), as I always do. A woman found me dazed and confused, and called my wife after reading my wife's name and number on my ID.My wife came immediately and took me to the emergency room. I had a major concussion, bruised ribs, broken thumb and plenty of scrapes and bruises. My wife has told me that when she reached me I didn’t recognize her, and continued repeating the same questions over and over again. I don’t remember a thing from the entire day until late in the evening in the ER when I finally regained some clarity.
What I do know is this - if it weren’t for the Road ID, the situation would have been substantially worse.
