I made some friends while racing in the San Francisco Bay area, and they drove up to the Sierras to train with me. While out on a ride, a member of our group hit a pothole on a descent. She was in and out of consciousness and her Road ID contained the only info we knew about her.
We were WAY out in the forest, so it took awhile to find cell coverage, explain our location to the 911 operator, and get the EMTs out there. Help arrived and asked us if she had any allergies, so I referred them to her Road ID, which answered all of their ensuing questions.
