ER Nurse Noticed My Road ID On My Garmin Watch

It was July 4, 2021. By noon I knew I was in trouble. I couldn't catch my breath, felt sick and a couple hours later...massive heart attack.

The ER nurse noticed my ROAD iD on my Garmin watch and saw that I have Epilepsy and high blood pressure and told the doc.

There was 100% blockage of right coronary artery. Two stents put in and a week later I’m out walking and enjoying my second chance.

I now have a new ROAD iD with "stent" engraved along with a medical alert badge.

Not only do I, but my family also feels more secure when I’m out doing my gravel bike rides. Wouldn’t be without a ROAD iD.
