When he saw my Road ID he knew exactly what to do

Luckily, the man who answered the door was a Colorado Springs Police Officer. When I showed him my Road ID, he knew exactly what it was and called my emergency numbers and an ambulance
About a year ago, I decided to go for a run to help clear my head after a stressful day. I was finishing up my 3 mile run when I decided to kick it into high gear about a block from home. I accelerated about two steps, my vision went gray, and I was out.

When I came to, my head was bleeding and I couldn’t really walk. I crawledover a fence into a nearby yard and up to the door, where I collapsed on the porch after knocking. Luckily, the man who answered the door was a Colorado Springs Police Officer. When I showed him my Road ID, he knew exactly what it was and called my emergency numbers and an ambulance.

The doctor explained that my brain wasn't getting enough oxygen, which caused me to black out. Thankfully I had my Road ID to notify my family of the accident!
