I was finishing a 60 mile ride and was just 2.5 miles from home when I was injured. I was out of it when paramedics arrived, besides being unconscious, I suffered a traumatic brain injury, and could not give them any information. The ER told my wife that my Road ID contained all the information they needed to properly treat me and contact her.The ER team knew my age, blood type, that I have no medical allergies and take medication for my blood pressure. As far as, I am concerned, the information on the Road ID saved me.
