Road ID saved my life. My fiancé and I were camping off trail with only our backpacks in Yellowstone National Park. He went to take some pictures up a rocky vista, and I collapsed without him knowing and got a nasty cut on my head. He found me a few minutes later and called the park rangers.
The rangers got an ambulance outto the road and hummed me out. When I woke up in the hospital a few hours later, a doctor told me that Road ID saved my life. An EMT had almost administered a drug to help with coagulation which would have interacted negatively with my antidepressant, and that it could have stopped my heart. Because of my ID, the EMT was able to identify my current medication, and provide proper care in what could have been a fatal incident.
I had hoped never to use my Road ID, but it more than did its job when I needed it. I now have the ID framed on my wall. Thank you so much for everything you do.
