I love my Road ID. It was extremely helpful recently when I participated in the Savannah Susan G. Komen race. Just after the finish line I was accidentally tripped. I went down hard in a face plant, resulting in a head injury and some road rash. As I was transported to the ER, the EMT staff used my Road ID to get my information. They were very interested in it. When I got to the ER, they used it again. My ER nurse was actually very familiar with Road ID.
While I got pretty banged up, I'm doing fine now...but I keep thinking about what would have happened if I had been knocked out. I'm just so glad I had my Road ID on my wrist.
This photo is me with my Susan G. Koman race buddies...we were part of a larger team of 75 people. I'm the one in the glasses.
