I was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (TTP) in 2016. The hospital suggested that i get a medical alert necklace or bracelet to notify anyone near me of my medical condition. All of the bracelets and necklaces I saw were common. I wanted something different, something that would stand out. I told the hospital I would find a bracelet. I looked them up online and I kept seeing the same ordinary bracelets. Then I came upon Road ID. I loved them. I was able to choose my own design and even had a ID tag made for TTP. Everywhere I go, people notice my bracelet and ask. I have told atleast 50 to 60 medical staff about Road ID. I've had 2 episodes and each time the EMT's have asked my husband if my bracelet was current. They relayed the info to the hospital and medical staff was waiting on me since TTP is fatal. It's so rare, not many Doctors know how to treat it. Luckily I had one Doctor still at the hospital who informed everyone of my condition. They all said my bracelet helped them give me the medical treatment I needed. I wear it everywhere.
