Watch Sofia Gomez Villafañe race in 2026 and you'd swear she can't lose. Santa Vall. Mid South. Sea Otter. A second Unbound Gravel title, becoming the first two-time women’s champion there since 2018. Back-to-back wins at SBT GRVL. From the outside, it looks like magic. Like some people are just built to win, and she's one of them.
It's not what it looks like.
The truth is a lot less exciting, and a lot more impressive. The wins everyone sees are built on a thousand days nobody does. The same roads, ridden again. The same intervals, again and again. Meals weighed and logged. Recovery, sleep, repeat. Hours and hours alone, with no one around to see whether she actually did the work. Well… almost no one. Keegan sees it. She just does it anyway.
That's the part we wanted to film. Unseen Miles is a new series from us, and Sofia is the latest rider to take the chair. Less podium, more process. And the process, it turns out, looks nothing like the highlight reel.
It's not just talent that shows up on race day. It's everything that happened on all the days before it.
The race is the part you see. The rest is the real story.
Here's a look at Sofia's Unseen Miles…
