If only I had been wearing a Road ID!
During a half marathon 2 years ago, while in a foreign country, I had an unfortunate accident...with no form of ID on me. We were running along the Dead Sea, and even though it was February, the temperature reached about 100 degrees. I was at kilometer 18 out of 21, and the last thing I remember... is seeing the finish line in the distance. The next thing I knew I was in a hospital 3 hours from the race. The Israeli military had flown me in a helicopter! In a panic, I asked one of the nurses if I could borrow a phone to call my father who had been waiting for me at the finish line. I still feel terrible to this day that he had to spend hours trying to track me down. If I had used Road ID, they probably would have found him and told him what was happening much sooner.
All is fine now -- I continue to run and I can now finally take my old driver’s license out of my pocket and use my Road ID, which gives much more information to a local responder.
Thanks, and great idea...

As a Firefighter/Paramedic, I look for Road ID
You have no idea how excited I was when I found out about your product. One of my fellow firefighter/paramedic/cyclist friends told me about Road ID, and he sold it so well that I just had to order two for me and my wife.
I know you have plenty of testimonials from first responders,... but I would feel remiss if I couldn't offer my thoughts and praise about your ID products. The information that you can fit on a Road ID is exactly the information I'm looking for when we arrive on a serious accident scene.
Road ID also gives me peace of mind when my wife decides to take the dog running in the evening, or when she goes for a ride when I'm at work on the weekends (it’s hard to believe that after being together for six years and knowing what I do, I still have to remind her to take ID when leaving home).
I wear my Road ID all the time, even when I'm at the firehouse. I'm trying to spread the word to my fellow active firefighters—not only in my house, but across the nation. In addition to being a firefighter, paramedic, and avid cyclist, I'm also a writer whose blog, RaisingLadders, is part of the reputable and nation-wide aggregate of FireEMSBlogs.com. I've been writing about my experiences with the fire department for the past three years, and I look forward to educating my readers about the great qualities of Road ID.
Thanks again for being helpful and awesome, and keep up the great work!

The EMTs were very thankful for my Road ID
A little over a week ago, I had a blowout on my front tire while traveling downhill on a Butte County road. I went over the handlebars, and upon hitting the pavement, I lost consciousness. My next memory is waking up with EMTs and a CHP officer as they were trying to get information from me....
Thank God I always ride with my Road ID -- it gave them all the necessary information they needed. My wife, who was my initial contact, was out of cell range, but the EMTs were able to contact my son and daughter in law. My daughter in law said that the EMTs were very thankful that I was wearing my Road ID.
Thankfully, my incident convinced two of my riding partners to order their own Road IDs. Your company provides a very valuable service, one that I am most thankful to be associated with.
Update: I am doing fine with no after effects from the accident.

Road ID has got my back
As a first responder, who is also a runner/cyclist, I want to thank you for providing such a fantastic product. All of us -- Police Officers, Firefighters, EMS, ER workers -- could use a friendly reminder to check for this extremely useful source of information. The First Responder page on your site made it quick and simple... for me to forward testimonials and other useful information to all my co-workers. It is good to know that your company had the forethought to add this helpful information to your site.
I feel much more secure knowing that when I am out there on the roads cycling or running, I have a buddy with me to tell my story if I can’t. Road ID has got my back.

Road ID is the one!
I was pushing, trying to finish a set of small hills in PB time. I turned the corner and three skateboarders blocked my path. I was forced to dive out of the way, which resulted in quite the crash. The skateboarders immediately called an ambulance.
On our way to the hospital, the firemen recognized my Road ID and were able... to relay my information to the EMTs working on me. The nurses and doctors at the hospital were very impressed with my Road ID as well. I overheard them saying things like, "I am going to get this for my Dad," and "This is great! It could definitely save someone's life." I was forced to have surgery to repair my shoulder (3 torn tendons), and the doctors said they appreciated knowing what medications I was currently taking.
I won't ride without my Road ID.
