I just bought my husband a RoadID for Father’s Day. My son and I already have them. We all enjoy running, and I enjoy having the peace of mind knowing if anything happened to one of us, we can be contacted, even if that person can’t communicate verbally. My son recently ran his first trail 1/2 marathon. He was 12 miles in, when he got overheated, with possibly heat exhaustion. Thank goodness an RN saw him and got him help. He texted for us to pick up him and his car, but when we asked if he was hurt, he said no, then stopped texting. My husband started the hour long drive with my future son-in-law. My son was unable to communicate verbally, so he took off his RoadID and handed it to the person helping him. They asked if he wanted him to call someone, and he pointed to my name and number. Thank you RoadID! I was able to talk to the person helping him, and I let my husband know he’d need to take our son to the hospital, then I hopped in my car to meet them there. My son was extremely dehydrated, but is fine now. Again, thank you RoadID!
It makes my silicon ID look like a Medic Alert which is what I wanted. So far it seems to be working great. I slides a little bit but that isn't affecting the functionality.
