Day at the Museum: ROAD iD Reunites Child with Parents

In my work as a Firefighter, I had seen ROAD iDs on cyclists who had been hit by cars, so I decided to buy one for my wife and two sons for a recent trip. We were at a museum when my six-year-old went down a stairwell to see a display. We followed him, but by the time we got to the bottom, he was gone.

There were people everywhere, and we had no clue where he went—we had lost him.

Thankfully, it didn’t take long to find him because of his ROAD iD. In less than five minutes, a museum staff member called my cell phone. She had him at the front desk.

When we got to him, he was so scared. He gave me a big hug and wouldn't let go for five minutes. I was so happy that his ID worked so quickly.

We now use ROAD iD on a daily basis. It's worth the money just to have a simple, available phone number on your child's wrist.
