The Role

The Senior Paid Media Buyer directs the research, execution and reporting on multi-channel paid media acquisition campaigns. You will help save lives and fuel adventure through digital marketing and paid media campaigns, using data analysis to verify campaign effectiveness. You will start by leading our Paid Social (Facebook/Instagram) and Google & Microsoft Ad accounts in collaboration with the Director of Growth, Social Media Manager and Messaging Specialist.

This is a full-time position based in Covington, KY.


● Manage the Facebook/Instagram Paid Social and Google & Microsoft Ads (Shopping, Search, Display & YouTube) campaign execution (trafficking & buying), optimization, measurement and reporting to drive DTC sales. Develop, optimize, research and report on new paid media channels and tactics to build awareness, refine audience targets and drive new customer acquisition.

● Strategize, plan and optimize paid media to hit defined KPI targets. You will be measured by these core metrics: Driving Quality Sessions, Revenue, Conversion Rate, ROAS, MER (Marketing Efficiency Ratio) and CAC.

● Oversee and evaluate testing roadmaps and monitor campaigns across multiple channels including new audience targeting, ad creative & messaging, remarketing sequencing, and landing page experiences to generate insights that fuel growth.

● Closely direct weekly budget tracking by Brand and Channel to ensure pacing towards revenue and ad to sales goals.

● Analyze cross-channel and web and app analytic data, identify insights and develop recommendations in Monthly and Quarterly reports for internal marketing team leadership.

● Verify, update and analyze Monthly and Quarterly reporting dashboards for paid media channel KPI performance against goals and industry benchmarks.

Who You Are

You have (and will be able to demonstrate) the following:

● 5 or more years of hands-on experience in paid media, in-house or agency (planning, buying, optimizing & reporting) working on paid social media campaigns, including paid marketing channels (Social, Search, Affiliate and Mobile), paid search, display, social, influencer, podcasts and other channels.

● Preferred experience in Google ads and/or Facebook Ads Manager and Ad Management tools (Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, etc.)

● Recent (within the last 12 months) experience directly optimizing and reporting on the effectiveness of Google Ads, YouTube, and/or Facebook/Instagram campaigns and implementing strategies to optimize growth.

● Proven track record of paid acquisition success, improving ROI and scaling media in a high growth business within retail, ecommerce or similar B2C vertical.

● Experience tracking spending for a significant media budget (at least $250K/month) with an eye towards sustainable growth while meeting Revenue and Ad to Sales targets.

● Analytic stills and passion for improving data visualization skills by leveraging reporting tools such as Excel, Data Studio, or BigQuery to test, experiment, and implement creative A/B test design.

● Experience leading conversion optimization through landing page development, testing and optimizing ads/funnel.

● BA/BS in marketing or related field preferred, but not required.
