MISSION FOR THE POSITION

We are searching for a talented and motivated Human Resource Director to join our growing team.

As our human resource director, you will work closely with all departments by creating and implementing strategies that deliver on 'Who We Are - At Our Core' (see below).

This means you will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of all human resource functions. This will involve managing activities that span the gamut from recruiting and onboarding, to benefit and compensation management, to policy creation and retention.

Our Team is our most important asset and this role is a key component to maintaining and enhancing our company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s vision and values
  • Collaborate with leadership on recruiting, talent acquisition and retention
  • Champion and facilitate a professional development strategy by assessing training needs of each team member
  • Help leadership narrow and filter applicants to speed the recruiting process
  • Research and recommend appropriate pay scales for each role
  • Facilitate and elevate our onboarding process
  • Coach leaders on a consistent and effective performance review process
  • Evaluate staff happiness to identify actionable opportunities
  • Payroll and benefit administration
  • Provide decision support and recommendations to the Steering Team through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Develop a roster of front-line talent that can be called on during peak moments
  • Bridge leadership and team member by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies that help resolve work-related issues
  • Develop & enhance employment brand
  • Complete background & employment checks

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as HR Director, Manager or other HR Executive
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field

FINER DETAILS

This is a part time (~16 hours per week) position based in Covington, KY and will report to the Co-Owners. The schedule is flexible and can be negotiated during the hiring process.
