My Road ID is priceless
This photo shows me wearing my pink Road ID on the first quarter-mile of a 15K I ran the other day.  I experienced a heart rate issue on the course, and collapsed shortly after the finish.  Both the EMTs and the staff at the emergency room used my Road ID to confirm identity, learn of a chronic disease I have, and.... - JoAnna C. / Bedford, IN Continue Reading

Craig Alexander Claims Third Ironman World Title

Craig "Crowie" Alexander, with his third win at the Ford Ironman World Championships, has stepped into the pantheon of great Kona champions and everyone at Road ID is extremely proud to have Crowie on our team. His professionalism as an athlete and brand ambassador is unmatched.

In addition to wearing his ever-faithful Wrist ID Sport during this year's race, he also wore another piece of Road ID branded equipment, a custom-painted time trial helmet.

Not only did the helmet provide an aerodynamic advantage, but it also afforded Crowie a little extra motivation as it included a variety of personal elements he holds dear to his heart:

  • The four stars embedded in the rainbow stripes, with years (2006, 2008, 2009, 2011) represent his four (now five) world championships titles: two at the Half Ironman distance and two previous wins in Kona.
  • His wife (Neri) and children (Austin & Lucy) are displayed on the back left.
  • Crowie's national pride is evidenced by the Australian flag motif, as well as by the script notation of his hometown of Cronulla, NSW. Also included is his adopted American hometown of Boulder, CO.
  • On the top of the helmet is his nickname "Crowie", named after an Australian Surf Ironman.
