Thanks to my Road ID, the EMT called my husband
I am a member of the Impala Racing Team in San Francisco. I recently ran the Kaiser Half Marathon race in San Francisco. Unfortunately, I collapsed at the 12 mile marker. Somehow I made my way to the medical tent and was able to tell them I didn't feel well, before I fell unconscious. I don't remember any of this.
When I woke up in the ambulance on the way to the ER, my mind was so cloudy I couldn't compose a response to the paramedic's questions.
Thanks to my Shoe ID, the paramedic was able to call my husband - who had been waiting at the finish line. He was able to provide the EMTs with information they needed for treatment, and meet me at the ER. If I did not have the ID, who knows what could have happened?
The paramedic was so impressed with my Road ID, he talked about getting one himself! I now emphasize to everyone the importance of having ID - even for well-trained athletes like myself.
Update: After 3 days in the hospital and extensive cardiac tests they gave me the good news that my heart is super healthy. They think I had a vaso-vagal response which resulted in low oxygen to the brain. I have fully recovered and I am back running again.

They were able to ID me and call my wife
I want to thank you personally for such an amazing product. I have been using Road ID since 2002, and I always used to ask myself why I wore an ID when nothing had happened. Well, yesterday, things changed. I left home at 5:30 am for an 80 mile bike ride, and the last thing I remember is passing a mile marker. The next... thing I know I am in an ambulance. I then passed out again and woke up in the ER with a doctor asking me if I can hear her.
The emergency personnel later told me that I had an accident and that someone had called 911 when they found me. They used my Road ID to identify me, call my wife, and get me the help I needed.
Since the accident, I am doing well, but I am still suffering the aftermath of a severe concussion, and I cannot remember much of what happened. I am just lucky that I had my Road ID on my wrist. I cannot wait to get back into training as my next race is in 4 weeks, but I can assure you that I will be wearing a good helmet, and I will never question whether or not I should wear my Road ID.
Thanks, again.

Help was made much easier thanks to my Road ID
I was recently involved in a single-vehicle, rollover car accident. When my car finally settled on its tires, I had lost consciousness due to head trauma. A woman pulled over to help me and saw my Road ID. It listed my name, birth year, my mother's number as my emergency contact, my allergies, medical conditions, and... "Proud Mama of Ian" on the bottom line. She immediately called my mother and checked the backseat for my child (who was safely strapped into his car seat without a scratch on him). She also called 911 and was able to inform the First Responders of my name and my severe allergy to Morphine.
The woman later contacted me to see how I was doing, and she told me how useful my Road ID had been. Without my Road ID, there is no guarantee that I wouldn't have been wrongfully medicated, my family wouldn't have known I had been in a serious car accident, and my 16 month old son may not have been found in the backseat until much later. I am very thankful for the help I was given, which was made much easier thanks to my Road ID.

My 12 year old son collapsed at the finish line…
Thank you for a great product. We are loyal fans. I have them on all my kids and my parents. At a local race recently, my 12 year old son collapsed at the finish line after finishing 2nd. The EMTs scooped him up, and while checking his pulse said, "Great! He's wearing a Road ID. We can give his mom a call." Fortunately,... he was fine and just needed a few minutes to find his legs again, but it gives me peace of mind to know that at these races, with thousands of people, if my kids need help out on the course, someone can always find me quickly.
Thanks, again.

My Road ID helped the paramedics save my life…
One day recently, I was at the local doctor’s office for a minor ear issue. Their records reported that I have a severe allergy to Penicillin, and I even discussed it with the doctor to determine what antibiotics I would need. Later, I took a dosage on my way home after I picked it up from the pharmacy.... I wasn't home for more than 15 or 20 minutes when I realized I was having an allergic reaction to the medicine. I immediately dialed 911.
When the paramedics arrived, I was not doing well. I was having severe issues, but they recognized my Road ID and knew straight away -- even without words -- what was going on. My Road ID allowed them to quickly begin administering shots to counteract the allergic reaction. I was rushed to the ER and stabilized over the next couple of hours. In the end, my ID helped the paramedics and ER team save my life.
I think your service is amazing. Thank you for helping keep me safe. Please tell your entire staff thank you from me.
Sincerely, your forever faithful customer.

I wear my Road ID EVERYWHERE I go!
My biking buddy and I were out for a ride at nine in the morning when we stopped at an intersection. There was no one in sight, so we proceeded through, and when were about halfway across, I was struck by an SUV. I was thrown in the air, actually unclipping my pedals, and I landed very hard on my back.... I was taken to the local hospital where I was diagnosed with a fracture of my T12 vertebrae. I ended up spending 4 days in the hospital recovering from my injuries.
My biking buddy used my Road ID to contact all my friends that needed to be notified. I wear my Road ID EVERYWHERE I go, and I recommend it to everyone I can.
I cannot thank you enough. I love your products and customer service.
