Who is Road ID?

Road ID was created on the concept that active people should wear ID as part of their gear when participating in outdoor activities. It was started by a couple of guys who began to wonder "why in the heck don't we have ID on us when we go out for a run or a ride?" We looked at our dogs, they had ID. But, if we had an unexpected accident, while running or cycling, we would be in bad shape - nobody would know who we were or who to contact. That freaked us out.

Road ID is a Kentucky based company. The principle owners are Edward Wimmer and Mike Wimmer - a father and son team. "Road ID is our business - getting people to wear ID is our crusade." Everyday, people leave their homes without any form of identification. The only way to have identification with you all the time is to wear it. What is the Road ID Dealer Program?

Customers have long been asking their favorite stores to carry our products. However, since the majority of what we sell is custom engraved, we had to come up with the best way to do this. Our solution is the Road ID Dealer Program. As an authorized Road ID Dealer, you can promote our products and our mission in your store, while earning a commission on anything your customers order from us. Trust us... it is that simple. Recommended for specialty Running Stores, Bike Stores, Watersports Stores, Outdoor Adventure Stores, Acrobatic Supply Stores, Equestrian Stores, well... you get the picture.

What’s in it for my business?

It truly is a Win-Win situation...
For one, there is no cost to become a Road ID Dealer. Secondly, there is no product to inventory or sales to track on your end. We manage it all for you on our Dealer Portal.

You DO get a handsome store display, custom-selected for your store layout, FREE Road IDs for your employees, AND commission on any orders made by your referred customers. To top it off, our mutual customer is YOUR customer for life! You never stop earning commission on their orders.

I’m located outside of the US and Canada. Can I still participate?

For now, this program is only available in the US and Canada. We are planning to expand this as the program grows, so check back with us later.


How do I get started?

The easiest way to get started is by creating an Account on our Dealer Home Page. Once you submit your account information, we’ll review it and get back to you with approval within 1-3 business days. As soon as your account is approved, we’ll send you an email with the next steps. OR just give Ashley a call at 800-345-6336 and she can get you started.

How do I qualify to be a Road ID Dealer?

If you are a legitimate business that is interested in promoting Road ID in your store, you probably qualify. If you are solely an e-commerce business, you may be better suited for our Affiliate Program.

How much will this cost me?

Nothing! Seriously.


How do I change my email, address, phone, store information etc?

All your account information can be viewed and edited when you log into the Dealer Portal and click on the 'Settings' tab.


What is Unsettled Commission?

Commission is unsettled for 30 days after the purchase, in case of returns or exchanges. After 30 days, the commission is considered 'cleared' and will be included in the next commission payout.

How often will I get a commission check?

Checks / Direct Deposits are distributed on a Quarterly basis.

Why is Direct Deposit preferred over a physical check?

ACH or 'direct deposit' is the safest and fastest method to get your commission paid to you. We don’t mind cutting a physical check if that is what you’re more comfortable with.

How can I find out what my sales are to date?

All sales and commission information can be found in the 'Reports' tab, when you log in to your Dealer account.


How and when will my order be shipped?

All supplies and merchandise are shipped via UPS Ground. They will leave our facility 1-2 business days from the day your order was placed. Note: UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day are available if you are in a time crunch.

How is shipping cost calculated?

It is pretty simple. We cover the cost of shipping any promotional (FREE) items, as long as you stick with UPS ground. If you order merchandise, we charge you the ACTUAL shipping cost for your items based on current UPS rates- and nothing more. For shipping prices and delivery estimates click here.
