"The only ID I had was my Road ID."
I was returning from a thirty mile bike ride, at dusk. I was only two blocks from home. Heading west bound, an east bound car made a left hand turn, broad siding me. I was unconscious for over 20 minutes. I awoke in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. My wife was on a trip to Africa, so nobody was home....

FAQ:
What are the prizes and prize packages?
That's a great question. It doesn't make sense to enter a giveaway unless you like
the prizes being offered. There are three (3) prize packages consisting of one (1)
Grand Prize and two (2) Runner-UP prizes. The Grand Prize package is detailed below
(just scroll down, you'll see it). The two lucky Runner-Ups will receive a $250
Road ID Shopping Spree.
Why are you doing this?
Good question. Perhaps we want to celebrate the arrival of spring. Or maybe we found
a box in the back alley with an iPad and a killer set of wheels...and would have
felt guilty keeping them for ourselves. Then again, perhaps we don't have a good
reason.
Is there a limit to the number of entries I can earn?
Nope. There is no limit to the number of entries for each person. So, feel free
to increase your chances of winning by entering in all 4 ways. We especially encourage
you to rack up the entries by using option #1 (donate to charity).
What if I already follow you on Twitter and/or am already a fan on Facebook?
Well, my friend, you have already been automatically entered to win.
How do I become your Facebook Fan?
When will the drawing take place?
The random drawing will take place on or around June 8th. The winners will be notified
by June 10, 2010. We will also announce the winners via our Twitter & Facebook accounts,
making the winners instantly famous...well, sort-of famous.
Where's the fine print?
Well, we're not big fans of fine print. The contest is as straightforward as we
have outlined on this page. Our attorneys, however, have forced us (by giving us
nuggies until we cried uncle) to compile some legal speak. You can find the complete
giveaway rules and regulations here.
Prizes: Tell me more about the prizes.
There are three (3) prize packages (1 Grand Prize package and 2 Runner-UP packages).
The Grand Prize package is detailed below. The two lucky Runner-Ups will receive
a $250 Road ID Shopping Spree.
Apple® iPad: iPad's brilliant 9.7-inch, LED-backlit display
features IPS technology to deliver crisp, clear images and consistent color with
an ultra-wide 178 degree viewing angle. The highly precise, capacitive Multi-Touch
display is amazingly accurate and responsive whether scrolling web pages or playing
games. The intelligent soft keyboard pioneered on iPhone takes advantage of iPad's
larger display to offer an almost full-size soft keyboard.
HED Ardennes: These wheels evoke images of cobbles, the
men of the spring classics, hard training, and serious racing. Lighter? Check. Stiffer?
Got that one too. HED planned for these two, but those two attributes by themselves
were simply not enough. They needed more, so HED designed a whole new rim to build
them around, the Hed C2 rim. By obsessing over design, and with the modern miracle
of CAD, the C2 rim is 23mm wide and only 430g. Finally a rim has caught up to the
advances that clincher tires have made in the past 2 decades.
